Today, the automotive industry is going through difficult times. The number of exciting models is decreasing under the invasion of crossovers, and on the other hand, high ecological requirements are pressing. Therefore, this forces manufacturers to look for technological solutions, such as reducing the engine capacity, the number of cylinders or the introduction of a hybrid installation. This is without even mentioning the additional complications of modern diesel units, which are primarily more toxic than petrol ones.

However, even with the all foregoing, some major car manufacturers are still selling cars in 2024 with not just big, but literally huge engine displacements. Usually, such models belong either to powerful commercial vehicles or to expensive cars in the executive and sports segments. It is noteworthy that the engines on such cars also meet modern strict ecological requirements, such as the Euro-6 standard. You can imagine how difficult (and costly) it is for engineers to combine the high technical characteristics of a large displacement engine with low levels of toxic emissions. However, somehow they manage to do it! We decided to collect here the Top 20 such cars (in fact, there are even more of them), starting from a five-litre engines. Let's go!
